Tea Shots and Cleanse Drinks

Weekends are going by pretty fast these days. I’m not really sure why and I’m not really complaining either because we all know how much I love my daytime talk shows. Lets face it, Kelly and Michael make Monday all the more marvelous.

Marvelous is… Lists. I have so many herbal things to take throughout the day, I resorted to making a list of them. I usually can remember to take everything as needed, but this list is pretty extensive.

Marvelous is… Rest week couldn’t have come at a better time. Kasey gave everyone a cleanse drink for each morning, so it was easy for me to incorporate apple cider vinegar and aloe juice into my daily routine.

Apple Pie Cleanse Drink:

  • 16 oz. Water
  • 1 TBSP Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 TBSP Aloe Vera Juice
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 10-20 drops of Stevia

I’m not going to lie, I didn’t like this drink at first; however, the next morning I drank it… I’m starting to acquire a taste for it. Strange, but good.

The other things on the list have vitamins like Bromelain, Tumeric, etc. which are known to reduce inflammation. Also, Dave gave me a “homemade” herbal blend while I was sleeping cozily with needles in my knees. I’m supposed to drink it in a cup of hot water but this shit is gross. I’m not talking, “Eww, this tastes bad”… You can’t drink it without gagging. Stevia doesn’t help but enhance the dirt and pepper flavor. So what is a girl to do?!

Marvelous is… Tea shots to the rescue, for sure!

UGH. Good thing I drank at one point in my life and thought of this because there is no way I’m drinking a whole cup of it. I guess I did learn something in high school.

If anyone drinks ACV aside from straight shots, do you have another drink recipe?
What’s marvelous about your Monday?

  1. I just mix the ACV with a little hot water and shoot it down. Then drink a ton of water to get it off my teeth. Eventually you get used to it, I only do this each morning but I think it helps. I wouldn’t mix and drink it all day- I tried that and reeked of ACV smell. I’ve heard Aloe Vera juice is good for you as well, but I’ve never had it. Let me know how all of this works out, though!

    • I really like the Aloe Juice because I can mix it in my Powerade Zeros and you can’t really taste the difference! I think I’m going the ACV shots from now on because I almost feel like I’m drinking too much acid day after day with the cleanse drink. I think I can only have it like once or twice a week. It’s good but just too much!

  2. I’ve never tried juices or teas for healing, but when I had a stomach infection over the summer, a lady at my church gave me this anti nausea medicine that seriously worked, silver, and oil of oregano. I felt weird taking it all, but I think it helped. It didn’t hurt, that’s for sure! I hope all of your remedies can seriously help your knee(s). I’m cheering you on!!

  3. Hahaha, dying that high school taught you how to drink that horrid concoction 😉 I feel you on that one.
Yah, drinking all these supplements isn’t always the most fun, but hopefully it will really help with the pain and inflammation going on in the body right now!
I actually can’t drink ACV since it makes it hard for me to breathe and really makes my skin react horribly. Weird, since other people swear by it.
