This month my Foodie Pen Pal was Katie! I can’t even describe how excited I was when I found out she lives in Hawaii. So, so jealous. What a lucky girl, right?!

Well, Katie sent me the nicest package with the cutest little note about her first foodie pen pals shopping excitement as well as her first time at Whole Foods! This is what I love about this whole thing! Not only do you get to try new products but the sender ventures out themselves! Needless to say, Katie immediately fell in love with Whole Foods. 😉

Here’s the list of what she sent me:

  • Dark Chocolate Bar
  • Maui Shortbread Cookies
  • Hemp Granola in a wooden bowl (so cute!)
  • Hawaiian Host Macadamia Nut Chocolates (!!!)
  • Kona Coffee Blend
  • Postcard from one of her favorite parts of the island!
  • Two Handmade Soaps (Hawaiian Waters and Chocolate Mint)
  • Toy for Elmo 🙂

As I said, Katie included a funny story about her foodie penpals shopping trip. She and her husband each picked out a handmade soap to see which one I would like best. He chose the Chocolate Mint and she chose the Hawaiian Waters. Although I adore the chocolate mint scent from Bath and Body Works, I must say Katie won this battle! The Hawaiian waters smells so clean and just instantly relaxes you when you smell it. Obviously, this is good for me right now 😉

DSC02143Please excuse my chipped fingernails.

And, of course, Elmo enjoyed his new toy! After I gave it to him, the tag was immediately taken off within ten minutes. He’s so predictable.

DSC02145If you haven’t signed up for Foodie Pen Pals yet, I would definitely take a look and consider it!

Thank you so much, Katie!

  1. Everytime I see you post these I think that I need to sign up for it, I really should just do it and stop thinking about it! I love that everyone always sends something for Elmo too! P.S. hope the knee is doing well!!!

    • The knee is doing better, so I just hope it stays better! Whenever I say something, it goes the other way so I’m just not saying anything at all… Except now I guess. Haha! And I love when people get Elmo things, too, because he gets so excited with new things. It’s too cute!

Go sign up right meow! It takes like 10 seconds :o)

  2. Elmo must love FPP as much as you do! So sweet when people think of our furry friends ❤ And I'm super jealous that you got some Hawaiian goodies! I fell in love with kona coffee and macadamia nuts when I was there a few months ago, which is all the more reason to go back 😉

  3. I love how they send things for Elmo too, hehe. It looks like you got some great stuff in your box and it’s neat that it is Hawaiian themed with the macadamias!

  4. I love that you loved the tropical soap, I would have too. When it comes to soaps and things that clean my body I don’t really like chocolatey or “Sweets” like scents. Those are reserved for the real deal so I CAN EAT THEM!

  5. Foodie Pen Pals is really fun 🙂 I have done it a few times in the past. I love that your Pen Pal included a toy for Elmo! So sweet 🙂 What do you think of the Kona Coffee Blend?
