put your hands up, make them touch

This weekend seemed like a really short, but good, weekend! After my last post, it’s always nice to start Monday off on a good note and point out some marvelous things. I have been reading a lot about gratitude lately and although I believe in allowing yourself to be sad…You need to learn how to lift yourself back up.

Marvelous is… this song. I can’t stop and I won’t stop. I love me some Lady Gaga especially when I’m working out.

Marvelous is… running 1.5 mile loop around my house. The only downside is the huge hill I have to run up at the end of my run. #burnssogood

Marvelous is… Elmo and I getting ready for football season! E-A-G-L-E-S, EAGLES! I am all about football and this is one thing which brings my dad and I close together, so hopefully things will be like the good old days! There’s nothing better than yelling profanities at a television!

Marvelous is… baking zucchini cookie whoopie pies. What can I say? I guess I am just trying to empty the fridge in zucchini loving mode! Oh, and eating what I bake is nice, too! Smile

Marvelous is… having connections. Winking smile #allthepumpkin

Marvelous is… a Target trip with my mom. I got a new fall color from Essie, BB Cream, Coconut Mocha K-Cups, and, of course, pumpkin spice M&M s! They’re really good! Just a little hint of pumpkin spice!

Marvelous is… helping my mom make homemade spaghetti and meatballs. I really wish they made a candle resembling the smell of homemade tomato sauce. I could have stood over the pot for hours.

Marvelous is… a plan on making homemade apple sauce. SQUEEEEL! #ilovefall

A pretty solid weekend full of both good and bad, but bad outweighs the good only if you let it! I am trying to contact my surgeon and set up something to hopefully fix my knee situation. There’s still fluid and shit just needs to go!

What’s the favorite thing you’ve baked lately?
Are you a football fan? Favorite team?

  1. I’ve heard about that new flavor of M&Ms and OMG i need to get those in my life… much sooner than later 🙂 And yeah, you are rocking some connections here Laura, I agree with Alex and need to be part of them!
Glad to hear your day and week is starting out better than before

  2. Hey! Can you get a part time job at a gym? You could work the front desk and sit there. Just trying to help! Don’t want you to be sad! I hope the knee gets better!

  3. I, too, am addicted, like really really seriously addicted to Applause. Ahhh I can’t stop playing it! So catchy!! I am also right there with you on the zucchini…my mom makes a mean zucchini bread in the fall each year and it is one of my absolute favorites! Speaking of fall, I love all things fall! And I am so excited that you are tackling the challenge of making your own applesauce! I hope updates will follow…?! 🙂

  4. !!! I seriously need your connections! And coconut mocha coffee?! GAH! We never get any of the cool flavours up here! Maybe I’ll be able to find some when I’m in the States in a couple days. Squee! And speaking of up here… I think it might be a Canadian thing, but I’ve just never been able to get into football at all. Hockey I go crazy for, but football? Ehhhh not so much. I love that you watch football with your dad though – it’s the same way with hockey for me and my dad 😀 Oh, and homemade applesauce will change.your.life. Just saying 😉

    • Homemade applesauce has NOTHING on store bought stuff. My mom freezes a huge batch so she can whip it out on holidays! 🙂 And it’s my FAVORITE flavored coffee. I’m not a fan normally but this one I can definitely drink!

  5. So much good in one post!! I didn’t know you were running again, how exciting!!! I’ve never had pumpkin spice M&M’s, but seriously need to try them. I bet they would be delicious to throw a couple in a cup of coffee ( I don’t drink coffee, but it seems like it would taste good). Nothing says fall like football!! I’m a Bills fan, and although we’re not good (read:haven’t made the play-offs since I was a child), I still love them.

  6. umm look at all those dunkin coups! I need in! You and Elmo look adorable in your football gear. I wish I shared your love of tomato sauce but I don’t. But I do share your love of applesauce!!! I hope you make it in the crock pot, its heavenly!

  7. I’m so glad to hear things are looking better for you right now! Yay for thinking on the positive side – it really does help!
Oh man all those coupons! Amazing. I would die in coffee heaven!
I SO adore the smell of spaghetti sauce! Oh my gosh, one of my favorite smells ever.

  8. Let me get in on that DD connection like the rest of the blogging world…wait…we don’t have DD in Del Rio. ha ha. I am happy to hear you are able to run a bit.

I can tell you are getting to be in an awesome place right now 🙂

  9. Ahhh Ive been wanting to try those m&ms but I was a bit worried I wouldn’t like them. Glad to hear they are tasty 🙂 And believe it or not, Ive never had DD since there isn’t one around me. I mean I live in LA, shouldn’t there be a stinkin DD somewhere?! I have a starbucks on almost every corner though lol
