Happy First Day of Spring!
“YES!” Today is definitely a good day in my book. Although there are still some remnants of snow on the ground, it is officially spring and I cannot wait for warmer weather! The first day of Spring always takes me back to high school and playing softball. It was around this time we began to have scrimmages and practices outside. Instead of going home right away, we would hustle down to change before practice and flirt with all of the baseball boys. It was always a rush to change as quick as possible so you could have more time to… Erm… Study? 😉
Of course, I had to celebrate the right way and pick up my free Rita’s Italian Ice at exactly 12:00! Is it weird I was parked and waiting for it to be noon? No? Good, that’s what I told Elmo too! It was a tough choice on which flavor to choose but in the end I went with Cotton Candy!
Elmo got a First Day of Spring munchkin donut. The Dunkin’ Donuts men are lovin’ him lately and he’s been getting one every day. He gained three pounds last month so he’s definitely going on a diet! … Yeah, right.
This is the way he looks at me while I’m driving sometimes. It kills me. He gets what he wants with this face. Too cute.
It’s bittersweet for me because it makes me want to be outside all the time but my knees are always screwed up. After spending every day outside as a kid, it definitely has been a downer the past two summers; but, I have to stay positive and this is for another post!

Favorite Rita’s flavor would have to be vanilla or mango. But I tried the limited edition Peep’s flavor last year and it was pretty good too!

I have never had Rita’s but I really really want to. Like more than ever. I just read the comment before me… there is a limited edition PEEPS FLAVOR holy moly I wish there was one near me.

I would do the 50% froyo… unless you have someone to go with you for the free one. Or you could give it to a random person outside maybe?
I like Ritas and I want to go to the free thing, but it’s a little far out for me to drive. I have a coupon for free Chick-fil-a ice cream so I may do that instead just to avoid driving, so I still get a treat. Hehe.
Ice cream is better anyway! lol And if I have no one to go with, I might just give it to a stranger!
Besides the peeps flavor, go for buy one get one froyo. Who doesn’t want to have an extra ice cream for when you finish the first?
I definitely say buy one get one free! That way you can get two and stick one in the freezer for later 😀 As for spring… it has yet to make an appearance around these parts. Today is just another cold and gray day, but it’s looking like better weather is right around the corner. Hope so!
The weather is being SUCH a tease. I swear it’s giving us one warm day just to dangle spring in front of our faces!
The Bboro Rita’s is right on my way home from school/work BUT it was swarmed and also I didn’t feel like waiting in line with a bunch of my students. lol 🙂

Happy Spring! My favorite Rita’s flavor is a classic… wild cherry! I’ve tried the Swedish Fish flavor, and it was just meh, but it’s my sister’s favorite. I really like the mango, too!
